Real-time interaction with our language instructors and students takes place in a live online environment, Elluminate Live!. Students can attend class anywhere they have a computer and Broadband Internet connection.

While wireless cards may work with the software, we recommend using a wired Ethernet connection for the live classes to ensure a quality experience.

PC Headset (REQUIRED)
  • Using speakers and regular computer microphones is not recommended and can cause feedback during class for participants.

  • Macintosh systems should use USB headsets.
  • PCS may use analog or USB. USB is usually better quality but is more expensive.

Install Elluminate
  1. Make sure your USB headset is plugged in before launching Configuration Room link.
  2. If you are preparing computers for student use, make sure you test under a student account or network environment.
  3. Complete Steps 1 and 2 for First Time Users here.
  4. Test your microphone according to the directions in the Configuration Room.
  5. View Recorded Introduction of Elluminate in Step 3.
  6. When finished, close the window to log out.
